HOOD is Mr. Basketball

This is no April Fool's joke. Madisonville North Hopkins' John Hood has received Kentucky High School Basketball individual top honor. Incoming freshman Jon Hood has been named Kentucky's "Mr. Basketball." This will be the second straight year a UK signee has garnered the honor, following Darius Miller last season. Hood, a 6-foot-7 wing player who averaged almost 29 points per game and more than 13 rebounds, will be presented with the award Wednesday afternoon during a ceremony at his school.
