Matheis named MISS KY B-BALL

It did not come as a surprise to see one of Louisville's finest girls basketball players in recent memory to leave her mark in Kentucky High School basketball history. If you were at the 2009 Girls' Sweet Sixteen, you witnessed a special player destined to not be denied her last opportunity for a State Championship.

The Kentucky Lions Eye Foundation will hold a press conference tomorrow morning at 10:00 a.m. at Iroquois High School at 4615 Taylor Boulevard in Louisville to present the 2009 Miss Basketball Award to Adia Mathies. She is the thirty-fourth recipient of Miss Kentucky’s #1 Jersey and Award. Miss Mathies has signed to play at the University of Kentucky in the fall.
