All-Stater Stepp to Austin Peay


05/08 - June Buchanan guard and first team all-state selection Clark Stepp has committed to play basketball at Austin Peay.

Stepp, whose family has a rich basketball tradition in Kentucky, averaged 25 points and seven assists per game for the Crusaders (18-8) last season.

Stepp became the first player in Kentucky high school basketball history to record over 3,000 points and 1,000 assists during his career.

Hood makes it official

Top player for 2009 off the board


05/08 - The Cat's out of the bag, so to speak.

Jon Hood, Bluegrass Insider's top  player in the class of 2009, made it official yesterday by commiting to Kentucky, weeks after initially sititng down with UK boss Billy Gillispie on his way to the King James Shooting Stars Classic in Akron, Ohio.

Shanklin gets first offer

05/06 - If it seems that recruiting is starting earlier and earlier these days, it's only because it is.

Add Warren Central 2011 point guard Jordan Shanklin to that list. Shanklin, one of Kentucky's top rising sophomores, recently picked up his first scholarship offer from the hometown Hilltoppers.
